Jira Integration
Jira is a proprietary issue tracking product developed by Atlassian that allows bug tracking and agile project management. Using Jira Integration, you can create Jira tickets based on your specified condition in Plerion workflow.
Users can integrate their Jira instances to Plerion and receive alerts or vulnerabilities on the user configured Jira project.
Note: The Jira outbound integration is one-way only, meaning that alerts or vulnerabilities created or updated in Plerion will be reflected in Jira, but changes made directly to Jira tickets will not be synced back to Plerion.
Steps for adding a Jira Integration
- On the Plerion Dashboard, Click on
Tenant Settings
and click onIntegrations
.
- Click on Outbound Tab and click on the
+
button against 'Jira'.
- On the "Connect Jira" tab, provide a name for the integration and select
Connect Jira
.
- Once you click the
Connect Jira
button, it will open a Jira OAuth pop-up.
-
Review the access permission and Select
Accept
to add the Jira integration. -
(This step applies only if you have access to multiple Jira instances) If you have access to multiple Jira instances, carefully review and select the instance you want to connect with. Note that this choice can only be made once. If you select the wrong instance, you will need to delete the integration and add a new one with the correct instance. If you don't select an instance, the integration status will be Pending, and you won't be able to use this instance in your workflow action.
- After adding the Jira integration, users can test their configuration by selecting "Send a test message." While sending the test message, you must select the Jira project and issue type on which you want to create the test issue.
- Once the test message is successfully created, link to the Jira ticket will be displayed.
- Test message created on the user selected project has the following format.
